The permanent Secretaries for Local Government and Lands, Abdoulie Manneh and Sheikh Omar Touray of the Ministry of health and Social Welfare, have been removed from office on Wednesday.

Our correspondent in Banjul says no official explanation was made available to the public with regards to their removal. Earlier the Permanent secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture was removed and replaced by Dr. Amadou Sowe, our correspondent says.

Sources also close to the administration revealed that the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Mambanyick Njie, who was removed last week, has been re-instated.
