London Joins Amnesty Int'l Demonstration Against Rights Violations in Gambia

Gambians and Friends of The Gambia, will on Thursady 22nd July, join Amnesty International Gambia Day of Action to demonstrate against human rights violations in our country.

The Demonstrations in the United Kingdom will take place at two different locations in London. For those coming from London and its immediate environs, the meeting point is at Trafalgar Square at 12pm. The Day of Action will first start at the Nigerian High Commission at 9 Northumberland Avenue, London WC2N 5BX; and the Nearest Tube is Charing Cross on Northern and Bakerloo Line. Time is from 12.30pm to 1.30pm.

For your information, while we are at the Nigerian High Commission, a two person represenatative will hand our protest petition to The Commonwealth Secretariat at Marlborough House.

From the Nigerian High Commission, we will then proceed to the Senegalese Embassy at 39 Marloas Road, Kensington, London W8 6LA. the Nearest Tube is High Street Kensington on Circle, District and Piccadilly Line. Time 2pm to 30pm. ( T-Shirit and campaign information sheet are available but it is advised we appear in black clothing).

Come and join the Amnesty International and Partner organisations in the Day of Action.
